A modest start

In the late 1800's, Angel and Isador Wolf decided to leave their family in London and travel to South Africa in search of new horizons. They had grown up working in their father's jewellery business, started in 1867 in downtown London, and saw South Africa as a land of promise and opportunity. In 1902, the brothers pooled their resources and opened a modest shop in Adderley Street, Cape Town. The shop carried a small stock of watches and engagement rings.

Free door-to-dour courier service
All deliveries made within South Africa are free. Because jewellery is a high-value item, we cannot use regular postal services to deliver your purchase. For this reason, we use a hand-to-hand courier company. The courier service collects directly from us, and they deliver directly to you.

Once you have placed your order with us and it is ready to be sent, we will contact you with a reference code (waybill number) from the courier company. You can use this unique number to track your purchase. The courier company can only deliver to a physical address (NOT a post office box or a Postnet Suite). Also, you (or someone you appoint) must be available to sign for the delivery. We will make all the necessary arrangements with you before the parcel is dispatched.

Wolf Brothers has five branches between Cape Town and Johannesburg. Unlike many other South African jewellery websites that operate on appointment only, we are a legitimate long-established diamond and jewellery retailer with branches in major shopping centres. Almost all the products on our site can be viewed in our branches. We are directly contactable at any time.

Online Purchases
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 24 (twenty-four) hours of receiving your order. You may only return the goods if we have supplied the incorrect product or if the item is damaged or faulty. If the item in question is damaged or faulty, we undertake to replace it on condition that we are contacted timeously and that the item is received within 5 (five) working days of your contacting us, along with all original packaging and receipts.

If you need to return your purchase for either of the reasons above, please contact us and we will arrange for the courier service and necessary insurance. We cannot be held liable for parcels sent to us that have not been arranged through our courier service and via our offices. Returns may be liable for a 15% handling charge. If a replacement is not possible, we will refund the purchase price upon receipt of the returned products.

Wolf Brothers has been established since 1902, and is well known and trusted by both our suppliers and our customers. It’s a family-run business with branches in major shopping centres in Cape Town and Johannesburg. We are not an Internet-based startup business operating out of a single office. We offer ongoing support and service on all jewellery and watches that we sell.

The diamonds listed on our website are all in stock. We update our lists on a weekly basis. We stock diamonds from the smallest single-pointer (0.01ct) to diamonds well over three carats. The prices of our loose diamonds are the most competitive around. If you find a better price, we will either match it or better it – don’t be shy to test us!
